In the midst of getting a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, Laz Chavez came to the revelation that he didn't want to work for anyone else, let alone in an engineering field. He was merely at college studying what he was studying as the safety net society had created. His purpose was bigger than that and in his junior year, he decided to partner with his childhood friend, Richard, to build an eCommerce business together.

Through YouTube videos and courses, he self taught himself the ins-and-outs of Shopify and Facebook Ads. His first store made some money, but not enough. With his initial investment drained and feeling discouraged, he was still confident in his ability to grow his business. He took up a mundane nine-to-five engineering job just to generate income he could then put into the business. Everyday after work, he would immediately tend to his online business, turning an 8 hour work day into 14 hours.
May 2017
Finishing up his last year at school and juggling between classes, student life, and his business, Laz graduated with an Mechanical Engineering degree but had no plans to use it. His business had taken off and he spent his summer traveling Europe with his friends, all while growing his business even further. He moved to Philadelphia to be with his girlfriend, still working with his business partner in Miami. It was then when he discovered Google Ads and how it could revolutionize his business.
NOW
After mastering Google Ads and seeing how effective it was at growing his business (making $2 million in one month!), he and his business partner sought to build and teach a community of entrepreneurs where people could open share and learn from each other. Together, they made the Kings of Ecom Group and have worked tirelessly this year to launch their first course - Ecom Profit Master Class on Google Ads.
In addition to his business, Laz is living happily in Philadelphia with his new samoyed puppy, Luna (IG @lunesconluna) and girlfriend. He practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Balance Studios daily and usually spends his weekends traveling.

I invite you to my personal journal, where i'll be documenting things that inspire me, issues i care about, and what i do on a day-to-day basis
My top priority is personal growth. As a businessman and entrepreneur, I can honestly say money doesn't buy you happiness and won't be a solution to your problems. Like everyone, my business has had its ups and downs. Are you going to be unhappy with your life solely because the market temporarily drops? Are you only going to be happy if you're driving a lambo and live in a mansion?
I have neither of those things and live a pretty humble life, actually. While I do take the occasional vacation (I recently traveled around Europe for a month - Thailand is next) and like to take my girlfriend out to nice restaurants, the thing that makes me the most happy is having the time to spend with my family, my friends, and my dog.
My business is everything to me. 24/7, I am thinking about how I can make my business grow - not because I'm interested in the money, but because I'm passionate about this field! Even with my current methods getting me a hefty profit, I'm constantly looking for ways to improve - better product quality, better customer satisfaction ratings, better relationships with my suppliers and VAs. I am also constantly looking for ways to be healthier - physically and mentally - to be a better business partner, a better boyfriend, a better brother, a better son. Focusing on personal growth, rather than the temporary satisfaction of getting money, is what will make you happy and ultimately what will make you successful.
